2 story frame church bldg, rectangular; 3 bays wide (1st: W-E-W, 2nd: W-W-W-W), 6 bays deep at orig. section 1st: W-W-W-W-W-W, 2nd: W-W-W-W-W), 2 by 3 bay addn. to rear; front facing pedimented gable patterned asphalt roof projects out over full- height entry portico w/round masonry columns; boxed cornice; 1st floor windows are 9/9 double hung sash, 2nd floor are 9/6, w/wood blinds; recent paired entry doors; wood weatherbd siding, brick pier fridtn. w/brick infill; small fire escape off N side of rear addn; brick chimney flue in N elevation; Cemetery 15 yds Eof main sanctuary is small cemetery enclosed by brick wall w/cor belled cap; continues N of recent educational bldg; small family plot enclosed v/in iron fence OUTBUILDINGS: 1 story educational bldg (non-contributory)

Gardner; Abner Whatly & Dawson Atkinson furnished lumber; church built In September 1832; Mathais Ardis & Dr. Randolph Bradford ordained deacons that year; examples of markers include: Johnny T., eldest son of George & Sena A. Harden, died 1895; Harriet Howard, died 1876
