Signficant Architectural Features:
Large brick house, irregular in plan. Only the south end of the east elevation (front) can be seen clearly from Magnoiia Ave.; this portion of the building is two stories with hip roof which has a cornice with modillons), at least two brick chimneys; its Front (east elevation) is symmetrical-the treatment of the central entrance resembles a Palladian window, on either side of the central entrance are two 6/6 windows with segmental-arched surrounds; on the second floor are 6 6/6 windows with rectangular surrounds; all of the windows have louvered shutters; in the center of the front slope of the roof is a large pediment containing a semi-circular fanlight. From Whiskey Road the large two-story north wing of the house can be seen. OUTBUILDINGS: At the SW corner of the property is a weatherboarded building that contains an indoor tennis court; one-story frame building to west of the house.; rectangular plan, 2 story residence with truncated hip roof: 2 interior brick chimneys; single 6/6 windows with louvered shutters and some paneled shutters: single door entrance with fanlight, pedimented door surround with engaged columns and pilasters, watertable, beltcourse, fanlight in gable end, block modillions OUTBUILDINGS:none visible
