I-house form, with two stuccoed end chimneys. The porch supports have also been encased in vinyl siding, but simple wood balustrades remain. The main entry is surrounded by sidelights and a transom. Windows on the second story of the main façade are 9 over 9 panes with sidelights. There are five associated outbuildings including a new garage, new and old well houses, a frame barn and the former kitchen. Inside, there is a boxed stairwell in the front entry hall with double doors underneath dividing the main hallway.
Alterations:
The windows on the first floor and elsewhere have been replaced. Those on the main façade, 1st floor are new 9 over 9 panes with sidelights. An addition has been built on the rear façade.
Historical Information:
J. Frank and Helen Culbertson Mitchell moved here in 1938. John Balentine acquired this property including 733 acres in 1843 from John Milam.
