at least three major construction phases are known, the most recent dating to 1980's.
This house, is thought to have been constructed as a one room deep two-story dwelling in the 1830s or 1840s. It is located on property originally granted to John Barnwell on July 18, 1764. A small house on this lot is said to have been either remodeled
