Neo-Classical. Built in 1850, the houses of 88 and 90 were Charleston single houses but were finished in the Italianate manner. All have identical floor plans and are distinctive on the exterior because of their rounded gable windows and porch entries. These 2 houses are identical and were built along with 3 houses on St. Philip Street by John S. Riggs. They were originally used as rental units.
