Roof materials are cedar shakes. Symmetrical 3-bay façade. Hall-parlor plan. Double-shouldered exterior brick chimneys. 6/6 double hung windows. Two outbuildings barn and stable. Two-story front and one-story rear section.
Benjamin McCoy reportedly lived in Kershaw district as early as 1797. Prosperous planter. Before his death he owned 25 slaves and more than 3250 acres.
