Signficant Architectural Features:
Single story cottage with lateral gable roof. Main 3 bay facade faces north. Central entrance fronted by stoop with shed roof supported on chamfered posts with sawn timber brackets. Sawn balustrade to entrance steps, east side.
Rear addition with shed roof and porch.
Cartographic sources suggest this structure was an outbuilding associated with 715 New Street. If so, was present on site in 1912. According to Mrs. Janet Nash, a descendant of Robert Smalls, Smalls built this house as one of several rental units in the
