Signficant Architectural Features:
Neoclassical. Full height entry porch with pediment supported by Ionic columns. Wide boxed eaves with brackets and dentils. Frieze board with dentil bed molding. Windows are paired with cast concrete sills and brick lentils. One-story porch. 4 chimneys.
Alterations:
Replacement one-over-one double hung windows. Decorative metal railing on roof and left porch.
Historical Information:
Built by Hugh Buist, a retired Winthrop professor, for his fiancée in 1919, she never lived in the house. Purchased by Mr. Barr (Bradley and Barr) in 1913. First home occupied in the neighborhood.
