Signficant Architectural Features:
Mid-century Modern style archiectural elements. Central porte-cochere with front facing gable with row of vertical posts as a screen. Aluminum frame windows grouped in linear windows. Minimal decorative detail. Low-pitched roof, wide overhang eaves.
Alterations:
Rear porch at west elevation with cast iron balustrade. Addition on west side c. 1970.
Historical Information:
Former site of Grennville Elementary School (Parker School District). In 1954, that school was razed, and Lawrence Peter Hollis founded and commissioned the construction of the Maternity Shelter Hospital. Hollis was an Greenville community advocate.
