Built in 1902 by Dr. Manning Simons, this house is most unique in Charleston. The house is influenced by both the Italianate and Gothic styles. Notable on the outside of the house are the twin pavilions connected by a colonated screen to shade the recessed entrance. Two large Gothic windows front the two pavilions. The interior has a large and airy atmosphere but does retain the heavy and solid appearance that the exterior would suggest.
