Signficant Architectural Features:
Built around 1849, the house is a gentler version of the early Victorian style, except that the entrance opens into a north hallway and the Doric-columned piazza faces the south. Double drawing rooms open onto the piazza and are separated by a huge double door. They are both ringed in an open plaster cornice of grape and vine design. The ceiling medallions have a daisy pattern. The second story rooms open likewise onto the piazza and have a simple cornice. This single house has a most handsome exterior cornice with brackets and panels. The piazza columns are connected by a balustrade.
