Signficant Architectural Features:
Each window on front opens onto wrought iron balcony. One of the last great antebellum houses to be built in Charleston, it is a modification of the single house and has a main entrance on East Battery. The wrought iron window balconies are typical of those introduced by architects of the day. The house is solid brick with a stucco overlay and is dressed up by quoins. The ceilings are very tall, and despite its small lot, it gives the appearance of commanding a large space.
