Signficant Architectural Features:

Built by Richard Cunningham, the tall Adam house is typical Charleston in both plan and style. The 3 story dwelling sits on a rather high basement, with another half story beneath its hipped roof, well lighted by dormers. The good slate roof with salmon colored ridge tiles appears to be original. The brick are the rust-brown Charleston greys laid in Flemish bond, binded by a shell and clay martar. The cornice is a brick dog-toothed design and the windows are capped with a splayed brick arch. The 2-tiered piazza has unfluted Doric columns on its first level and Tuscon columns on the second tier. The house is now in a state of bad repair.
