Description and Narrative:
The Vincent Street Historic District is a small but compact collection of seven contributing late nineteenth and early twentieth century residences. The district is significant as a cohesive collection of residences exemplary of domestic vernacular building modes prevalent in Newberry. Among the most notable buildings are twin Victorian raised cottages at 1706 and 1700 Vincent Street. The district’s tree shaded lots add to the quiet, residential character of the district. Listed in the National Register November 26, 1980.
