Signficant Architectural Features:
One-story weatherboarded house, L-shaped in plan. Hip roof with plain boxed cornice. Two tall brick interior chimneys with corbeled caps on the side slopes of the roof of house's rectangular core; one interior straddle-ridge chimney on the rear ell. Windows are double-hung, two-over-two (except where otherwise indicated). Front (east elevation): symmetrical (except for the porch), five bays; central entrance, a single door flanked by three-pane sidelights, is between four windows; in the center of the front slope of the roof is a gabled dormer containing a louvered vent with peaked surround; across the facade, south elevation, and west side of the main part of the house is a porch with hipped roof supported by turned posts (on the front and most of the south side) and chamfered posts (on the west side). South elevation: main body of the house features two windows; a porch across the south side of the rear ell has been enclosed. West elevation: west end of the rear ell contains one 6/6 window. North elevation: 6/6 and 2/2 windows; small polygonal addition between the main section of the house and the rear ell. OUTBUILDINGS: none (The Sanborn maps show several outbuildings, all of which are gone.)
