Signficant Architectural Features:
One-story weatherboarded house, rectangular in plan. Hip roof with exposed rafters. Two Interior brick chimneys and one exterior brick chimney (on the west side). Windows are double-hung sash with six-over-one lights (upper sash has three square panes over three tall, rectangular panes). Front (south elevation): asymmetrical, AAB - A's are double windows, and B is a single door; across the facade is a recessed porch, which features grouped posts on brick pedestals; in the center of the front slope of the roof is a dormer identical to the one on 5-67-141. West elevation: five windows and one exterior chimney (mentioned earlier). East elevation: windows and a polygonal projection. 5-67-141 and 5-67-142 were probably identical at one time.
Historical Information:
The 1931 Sanborn map of Denmark shows that this building was a dwelling identical in form to a residential to the west (5-67-141). The house is in an area not covered by the 1922 and earlier Sanborn maps.
