Signficant Architectural Features:
The Denmark Hotel was a two-story brick building with a turret at its southwest corner. It was demolished in the fall of 1977.
Built by the Rice family, the Denmark Hotel was located near the intersection of the Southern and Seaboard railroads. The hotel was a favorite spot of "drummers" who came to Denmark by train and would display their wares for local merchants in the "sample" rooms beneath the ground floor of the hotel. The building was used as a hotel until about 1970.
