Signficant Architectural Features:
2 story tan brick house with hip roof. Front: asymmetrical; main entrance features 1 story portico with ionic columns and dentil course in the entablature; doorway with rectangular transom and sidelights; secondary entrance on right side features details similar to main entrance; belt course forms continuous sill for 2nd story 1/1 windows; ground floor- mullion window with entablature to left of main entrance, brick quoins. Boxed cornice with decorated frieze. Porte cochere with classical details on left (west) side.
Alterations:
altered: in 1932, original porches removed, exterior faced with cream brick, redesigned entranceway.
Historical Information:
Lot sold by the widow of General Bamberg to her daughter, Mrs. James Wyman, in 1910. The Wyman's built a 2 story frame house with a 1 story columned porch across the front and sides. The house was remodeled to its present appearance by the Spann family in 1932.
