Signficant Architectural Features:
2 1/2-story weatherboarded house, irregular in plan. Gambrel roof with plain boxed cornice. House has at least 3 chimneys, windows are double-hung sash, 6/6, with louvered shutters. The "front" of this house is said to face the Palmetto Golf Course. The Berrie Road side (north elevation): the 5 bay west end (the main part of the house) has a monumental portico with Doric columns, pilasters, and flat roof (which has a balustrade along its edge), 1st floor windows with wide entablatures, central entrance, (single paneled door + screen door, small semi-elliptical fanlight, swam’s neck pediment with urn, fluted pilaster), and 5 dormers; 3 bay 2 1/2-story east end of front which contains the servants' entrance, has one dormer and central doorway (a single door flanked by 3-pane sidelights). Attached to the east side of the house is a 2-story wing with gable roof. OUTBUILDINGS: Servants quarters/carriage house (weatherboarded building which has comp. shingle head roof surmounted by a cupola, wall dormers, one exterior chimney, and windows, most of them 6/6) which is now a single family dwelling; weatherboarded stables with cedar shingle roof
