Signficant Architectural Features:
2-story frame house which has been covered with asbestos cement shingle siding. Hip roof has exposed rafters, windows are double-hung sash, 6/6, except where otherwise indicated. House has at least 2 brick chimneys. Front (NE elev.): asymmetrical. At the E end of the front floor is the main entrance to the house; a single door, rectangular transom; framing the door and transom is a band of molding that appears to be reeded (or fluted). Over the entrance is a gable supported by brackets. Across the front is a terrace. The western half of the terrace is sheltered by a shed roof supported by fluted Doric columns (2 free standing columns, 2 engaged columns). At the north end of the front is a double window with louvered shutters. On the second floor of the facade are 4 single windows with shutters. (The shutters of the second floor windows have panels at top, louvers at bottom. SE elevation: Most of 1st floor is hidden by foliage. At the south end of the 1st floor is a one-story porch with hipped roof. To the east of center of this side, between the first and second floors, is a single window with shutters like those of the front second story windows. On the second story, from E to S., are 3 single windows with shutters, a glazed door (that doesn't appear to be original), then a triple window without shutters. NW elevation: At the N end of the NW side is an exterior chimney (previously mentioned)which is brick laid in common bond and which features in its stack between the first and second floors a square recessed panel. To the north of the chimney there is a single window with shutters. To the west of the chimney are 3 single windows with shutters on each floor. Rear: Attached to the south end of the rear elevation is a two story ell with hipped roof. This ell has 2 windows on 1st floor and a group of 4 windows on the second floor of the NW side. The W end of the rear has 2 windows with shutters on each floor. At the S end of the ell is a 1 story section with shed roof, the sides of which can't be seen from the street - are hidden by vegetation. On the second floor of the SW side of the ell is a group of 5 windows. OUTBUILDINGS:
