Historical Information:
Along this block of Park Avenue in 1889 were a variety of one and two story commercial buildings all of which have been replaced over time This building first appears on1918 Sanborn map separated from 279 to its left by a small alley it was a two story duplex commercial building housing a dry goods store in the right section and a_x000D_
restaurant at the left Between 1925 and 1935 the building was extended with a rear one story kitchen section and kitchen use in the left half the adjacent building to the left had been built about 1920 closing the alley This adjacent structure 279 held two restaurants in 1935 with hotel above and it seems that the kitchen served those uses
