Historical Information:
Along this block of Park Avenue in 1889 were a variety of one and two story commercial buildings, all of which have been replaced over time. The 1894 Sanborn map seems to indicate a house on this site; by 1899 a 1story commercial duplex had been built. The original_x000D_ core of this structure, the duplex housed a dry goods store and a_x000D_ grocer. By 1904 the building had been extended to its rear along Bee Lane, with three small shops facing the lane. The Park Avenue stores in 1909 housed a garage and a grocery at the Park Bee corner. The garage section was vacant by 1918, but the corner grocery seems to have remained in business a number of years.
