Signficant Architectural Features:
Front double door has dental molding overhead, with engaged, fluted columns to the side. Porch columns are Doric. Windows on first floor façade are two over two over two with floor to ceiling shutters. Windows on second floor are two over two. Dormers on façade and sides have a Dutch kick roof. Front dormer has three horizontal windows. Brick well house with aluminum roof and frame barn.
Alterations:
Foundation for front porch has been redone.
Historical Information:
The home was owned and occupied by W.Y. McNeill, a prominent local businessman and postmaster of Waterloo. Adjacent to the Bank of Waterloo was a general merchandise store owned and operated by W.Y. McNeill. He was also the postmaster of Waterloo and operated the post office out of his store.
