Signficant Architectural Features:
Six over six windows on the main façade and two over two windows throughout the remaining portions, sidelights and transom around the main entry door. The main body of the house is square and the windows and doors are placed in a symmetrical pattern.
Alterations:
New stairs leading to the front door, exterior was orig. brick and stuccoed by C.C. Hough in 1957-8. Mr. Hough also enclosed the rear ell porch, the porch on the rear ell has also been removed, raised and replaced.
Historical Information:
The home was constructed for a local doctor and originally had a brick exterior. The load bearing walls are between 12 and 15 inches thick and are solid brick. C.C. Hough purchased the home in 1957 and did some remodeling, including the exterior stucco, rear ell porch enclosure and the addition of a bathroom.
