Historical Information:
C. Granville Wyche, a prominent Greenville attorney and judge, built this country estate at the beginning of the Depression on then unpaved Augusta Road. Designed by Atlanta architect S. D. Trowbridge, the 4100 sq. ft. house was begun in 1930 and completed in 1932 at a cost of $25,000. Trowbridge, a Greenville native and Furman graduate, designed several other buildings in the city.
