Historical Information:
Georgian-style house built for Fountain Fox Beattie and his wife, Emily Edgeworth, begun ca. 1834. House was enlarged numerous times to accommodate the growing Beattie family and updated in Italianate style during mid-19th c. Occupied by Beattie descendents until 1940, it was moved to its present location as the home of the Greenville Woman's Club.
