Historical Information:
Christ Church is the oldest congregation in Greenville (organized 1820). The present building stands on site of earlier 1825 church. Structure is an excellent example of cruciform-plan Gothic Revival-style church building. Notable Greenville residents interred in the churchyard include Vardry McBee and former governor Benjamin Franklin Perry.
