Historical Information:
Built on the site of the Robert Mills' Record Building, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce erected this 10-story skycraper in 1925. Beset with problems from the outset, including an act of the legislature to clear title to the Record Building, the building was the third high-rise office building to be built on Main Street in the 1920s. Built at a cost of $250,000, the building housed 100 offices, which were served by two high-speed Otis elevators.
