The house has a handsome exterior of the Gothic Revival Style with distinguished window cornices and an arched doorway leading onto the veranda. The interior rooms have a strongly ribbed plaster cornice and arched marble mantels. Several of the ceilings are of a detailed floral pattern and are painted in light pastel hues, a Victorian fashion.
