This house was part of the famous Glebe Lands of St. Philip's Church, but other than that its builder or its exact age are not known. The house has a strange medieval look of a north European origin. It has heavy quoin, English bond of the basement level, and enclosed piazza entrances suggest a very early construction date. The interior is likewise with heavily carved wooden over-mantels.
