Signficant Architectural Features:
First Baptist Church was built on this site in 1893 and rebuilt in 1917. It achieved its present appearance during a remodeling in the 1950's. The two story building is covered in stucco and has gable and hipped roofs as well as a steeple composed of square and octagonal stages. The whole is topped with a cross. The windows are stained glass arranged as one over one sash with fanlights. The front portico is supported on six squared piers and has vinyl-sided trim. The front door is flanked by fluted pilasters and topped with a broken pediment with inset cross.
