Historical Information:
Dedicated in 1953, this church was modeled after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Its icons were made by Photis Kontoglou in Greece, the Iconostasis was constructed by John W. Winterich and Assoc. of Cleveland OH, and the Altar was made by George L. Payne Studios of Patterson NJ. John Terzis of Chicago IL, an associate of Mr. Kontoglou painted the icons above the altar, and in April 1998 another associate, Emmanuel Tzirtzlakis restored these frescos. The classrooms behind the church date to 1960 and were designed by Demetrios Liollio.
