Historical Information:
Mrs. Cecile M. Pearlstine bought Lot 2 from the Confederate Home in 1936. Milton and Cecile Pearlstine immediately built their home on the lot and were living there by 1938. Mr. James B. Patrick who had bought the adjoining property in 1936, never built on his land, so in 1939, he sold it to Mr. Pearlstine. The Pearlstines lived in the house until December 1954 when they both conveyed the property to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. The church then used the property to house its pastors. The church owned the house until 1967, when it sold the property to Eva T. Brown. M
