Historical Information:
William Cuttino Wilbur bought two lots in Hampton Park Terrace in 1912 and by 1913, he and his family moved into their house which still had no number. The Wilburs lived in the house for many years and in 1939, they sold the house to Citadel Square Baptist Church for use as a parsonage. In 1956, the church sold the house to Rudolph R. Drews. He made some changes to the house, adding on a room to the back of the house to be used as a family room. Ann Maxey Lourie bought the house from the Drews in 1973. They used the property for rentals. In 1976 they sold the house to Malcolm and Katherine Brennan. The Brennans also used the house for a rental property. In 1979 they sold the house to Anthony Batiste and Yulanda B. Thompson. The Thompsons were ordered to sell the house in 1988 when First Union Mortgage Co. sued them. The house was then sold to Harry G. Hitopoulous. Mr. Hitopoulous lived there until 1995 when he sold the house to Terry Robert and Maria Mansfield Richardson who live there currently. Mr. Richardson is a physics and astronomy professor at the College of Charleston and Mrs. Richardson is the director of the Governor's School there.
