Historical Information:
Mr. M. Boyd Elkins bought the lot where 26 Parkwood sits in 1917. By the time he sold the property to James B. Heyward in 1917, the house was completed. Mr. Elkins apparently used the house for rental property. James Heyward owned the house until 1929 when he sold it to Alonza S. Hair, the chief engineer with the Charleston Engineering and Contracting Co.
