Historical Information:
Harold R. Jacobs bought the lot in 1919, but he and his wife, Pauline R. Jacobs did not build the house immediately. They moved to the house by 1930. They lived in the home for years until they sold the house to J. Everett Spell in 1954. J. Everett Spell was the director of Oak Grove Orphanage. He and his family lived in the house until 1960 when he sold the house to Nancy McL. Lewis. She may have used the house as a rental property, although she may have just shared the house with someone else. Simon Siegel bought the house by 1961 and lived there with his wife, Joan and their four children. By 1968, retiree Col. Marion S. Lewis and Nancy McL. Lewis lived in the house. Mrs. Lewis died in 1993 and her daughters rented the house out. In January 1997, Mrs. Lewis' heirs agreed to sell the house to Richard K. Galloway and in December 1998, he received the title to the house.
