Signficant Architectural Features:

One of three houses built in the identical manner encompassing the "Italian Villa" style which was unique along this time in Charleston architecture. Number 30 Montagu has since 1921 been converted into apartments and has been virtually stripped of its interior embellishment. Numbers 32 and 34 are single family dwellings and are much better maintained. Number 30 is undergoing a complete restoration however, to recapture its original grandeur.
