Built by Rodolph Switzer, the house is 2 stories with a full and usable attic built on an English basement of brick. Although now turned to the street, the house was originally a single house with chimneys to the rear. Faced in a beveled clapboard, the house has the proper classical touch with shallow brackets along the eaves and pediment and a 2-tiered piazza with segmental arches and waterleaf plaques. Doorway has a fanlight and tracery side panels.
