Antebellum. ;This large and typical Charleston single house was built just before 1813 for Miss Mary Scott. It stands upon a high basement and has a double veranda running the length of the house. Although in recent years the house was converted into apartments and had fallen into bad repair, it was recently purchased and will be turned into a private dwelling. Low marble mantels dominate the principle rooms.
