Built by Joseph Bennett, this house sits on a high basement. There is a most handsome columned porch on the front which is reached by steps up the right side. A distinctive pediment adorns the roof with fanlight. The interior has an Adam style mantel which was brought from a demolished house on Meeting Street. Unusual are the sliding panel shutters which are used to shut off the windows from the inside.
