Signficant Architectural Features:
This is a most handsome house and is a product of a recent restoration by the H.C.F. Built by the Neufville family in 1846, the dwelling is a typical single house with side veranda and street entrance on the opposite side. The second floor is in drawing rooms that adjoin and open onto the veranda. The main staircase is original and retains its wave moulding and unusual reverse-S newel in mahogany. The house being damaged in a 1950's fire, has been re-outfitted with period dados, mantels, door openings, and molding by the present owners.
