Signficant Architectural Features:
the front entrance (on the W elevation) consists of recessed double doors in an arched portico with a concrete keystone & corbelled edges - the stoop is concrete & back - the doors are 2-panel (vertical) with 9-pane windows & a full fan light transom; there is a secondary entrance on the S elevation that also consists of a concrete & brick stoop leading up to 2-panel (vertical) doors with 9-pane windows & a full fan light transom; most of the original windows have been replaced with 9/9 double hung sash windows (wooden); central (interior) brick chimney & a secondary interior brick chimney in the rear of the building
Alterations:
there is what appears to be a 1960s addition or the N elevation with a flat roof & 1/1 horizontal single sash windows (wooden)
Historical Information:
the first graduating class from Britton's Neck School was in 1935; the school may have been constructed in 1934 based a the recollections of several local residents
