Historical Information:
Constructed in 1905 by HW Powell; the date of organization is unknown but the church, first known as Zion, was active in the 19th Century. The second church building was erected on the present site before 1872 and served both the congregation and the Blue Lodge Number 142 as a meeting place. In 1892 the Masons decided to build their own lodge & the church erected a third building. This church was wrecked by a storm and the present building was constructed in 1905.
