Historical Information:
The home was constructed by Thomas A. Badgett, who came to Laurens from Virginia prior to 1846--the date of construction of the Church of the Epiphany in Laurens. Mr. Badgett was a renowned architect who designed the Episcopal Church. The bricks used in the foundation and chimneys were made in his brickyard by a small stream to the front of the home.
