Historical Information:
The Langston Baptist congregation was organized ca. 1773 and included some of the earliest settlers in the Enoree River area.  Originally known as the Upper Duncan's Creek Church,  the building is the oldest Baptist Church in the county.  During the Civil War, the first Confederate contingent from Laurens County was organized at the church, the surrounding area being used as a muster ground.
