Signficant Architectural Features:
The home has six over six windows, two interior brick chimneys, monumental portico with classical supports, and one-story hip porch on the rear façade. The main entry door is surrounded by a transom and sidelights. The windows on the first floor have square panels beneath with raised centers.
Alterations:
The rear porch has been enclosed with screen and the original one-story windows were made smaller in the 1950s when the HVAC system was installed. A monumental portico was added and the porch floor replaced with concrete at an unknown date.
Historical Information:
Thomas Wagner House, he was a Charleston coffee and tea merchant. It was constructed in the 1840s. The original house had a wrap around hip porch. The portico was done in the 1950s and the rear porch was enclosed in the 1940s and made other additions in the 1980s
