The house has a two-story front porch with boxed columns; the second story has a turned post balustrade. The main entry is flanked by sidelights and a transom. The house's windows are large six over six panes, smaller six over six windows on the sides. There are two tall interior chimneys. There is a side entrance with a pyramidal roof. Brackets follow the roofline.

Alterations:
The house may have been moved to this location. The porch has a new brick pier foundation, and the chimneys appear to have been rebuilt.

Historical Information:
The name and date are from a plaque at the entry.
The house was built for the William Anderson family sometime after 1820. A kitchen building may have been attached to the original house at some point. The property was used as a cotton plantation and school for girls. There may be a cemetery behind the house.
