Signficant Architectural Features:
The home has horizontal two over two windows, one interior and one exterior end (stuccoed) chimney, front facing gable on the right end of the main façade and projecting gable wing on the left, and several associated frame outbuildings.
Alterations:
The house was originally L shaped, a later front gable wing was added as was a rear addition with large exterior brick chimney. Aluminum siding has been added to the exterior and the windows have been replaced. The porch floor has been replaced with a concrete slab and a handicap ramp has been added to its right hand side.
Historical Information:
Dr. Barnes lived here in late nineteenth century and operated a store out of the home. He was a farmer and possibly a minister.
