Signficant Architectural Features:
Large concrete fort on the bank of the Beaufort River where it meets the Broad River. Three circular gun pits behind concrete wall. Top of the wall is flush with the ground, which then slopes down to the river bank.
Alterations:
Guns removed.
Historical Information:
Built for use in the Spanish American War, 1899. Deactivated 1921.
