2 story high brick civic structure. Main facade facing east features 5 bays. 3 center bays incorporate large windows (each set in a recessed arch) with semicircular heads, the central one over double entrance doors. Porch (not original) is suspended on m
single story extension to west; introduction of porch roof suspended over main entrance.
Lot belonged to J.D.Pope before 1862. 2 story house shown in 1899. Sanborn Insurance Co. map shows no construction on site in 1912 but the present structure here by 1924. According to the 1979 Milner survey|, this building is "A standard Treasury Departm
